Hims & Hers, 2024

GLP-1 rapid rollout

Discovery, User Research, Requirements, Testing

In May 2024, Hims & Hers moved fast to launch compounded GLP-1 access while semaglutide shortages opened a narrow window. I led rapid concepting to get marketing, compliance, legal, and engineering aligned, and made the key design calls under tight regulatory constraints to go from zero to launched in three weeks. The launch helped drive a 30% jump in stock price. Full case study on request.

Moving at speed.

With a narrow window and three weeks on the clock, I led rapid concepting to line up design, engineering, compliance, legal, and marketing. I focused on finding the smallest experience we could ship without cutting quality, scoping fast follows clearly so no one had to second-guess the trade-offs, and keeping leadership in the loop the whole way. It launched nationally, in every state.

Design inside real constraints.

This was one of the company's biggest launches, and the real challenge was moving fast inside genuine regulatory constraints. Compounded medication puts compliance and legal right in the critical path, so the job was as much about making fast, defensible design calls as it was about craft. I kept the core experience clear where the requirements were heaviest and pushed everything non-essential into fast follows.

Impact

  • Zero to launched in three weeks, inside a closing market window

  • Launched nationally, across every state

  • Contributed to a roughly 30% increase in stock price

Learnings

The discipline was all in the scoping. Naming the minimum viable experience and the fast follows out loud let a cross-functional team under real regulatory pressure move fast without re-litigating every trade-off.
